For those who like immersive installations, there’s something new at the Amoreiras Shopping Center. From April 22 to May 21, “Rainlight” promises a highly sensory experience.
This installation marks the debut of Irma de Vries, a well-known Dutch artist from Studio Irma, in Portugal. With free admission and very Instagrammable, “Rainlight” involves light, color and sound.
What’s so special about it?
With a prominent place in the Moco Museum in Amsterdam, Barcelona and London, Irma de Vries is an international reference in the world of contemporary art, so this is an excellent opportunity to appreciate her work.
But what is so special about “Rainlight”? In a statement sent to Lisboa Secreta, Amoreiras Shopping Center explains that the installation is inspired by rain and its positive effects on the mind.
The result is a series of thousands of suspended lights that simulate glittering raindrops, enveloping you in a dance of colors and reflections.
