Lisbon has just broken another Guinness record with the “World’s Largest Programming Class”, which took place on October 12 at the Técnico Innovation Center.
The event, organized by Magma Studio in partnership with the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), brought together more than 2,000 participants aged between 12 and 66, including 1,800 university students.
It’s a great joy to have entered the Guinness World Records for this noble purpose: teaching engineering to young people (…) We hope that this record will inspire even more young people to study (…), said Rogério Colação, president of IST, in a statement.

The “World’s Largest Programming Class”, which set a new Guinness record in Lisbon, was given by Rodrigo Girão (Python Developer and former IST student) and Professors Inês Lince and Arlindo Oliveira, from IST, University of Lisbon.
