There is news about music festivals in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. After the Jardins do Marquês organization announced Brazilian rapper and singer Baco Exu do Blues (June 26), now it is time to confirm the historic The Stranglers (July 1).
Between June 21 and July 8, Oeiras Valley will be the safe haven for fans looking for more intimate and sophisticated concerts. The performance by British band The Stranglers is one of the most eagerly awaited moments, serving as a celebration of a career that has marked rock and post-punk worldwide.
“Golden Brown” and other timeless hits
Formed in the 1970s, the British band proves that time has not diminished their energy or merit. The concert in Oeiras is sure to feature timeless hits such as “Golden Brown,” “Always The Sun,” and “Strange Little Girl.”
In 2024, the group celebrated its 50th anniversary with sold-out tours around the world and memorable concerts such as the one at the Royal Albert Hall. At the same time, The Stranglers released the album “Fifty Years In Black” – the band’s 20th album to enter the UK top 40.
