There are festivals that have become a cherished part of the calendar for those who live in the Lisbon region, and Ageas Cooljazz is certainly one of them. In 2026, the Cascais festival returns bigger than ever:eight nights of music, from July 8 to 31, with Gilberto Gil, David Byrne, Jamiroquai, Diana Krall, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, and Chet Faker headlining a lineup of 35 confirmed artists.
The setting remains the same and continues to be one of the most beautiful places to listen to music in Portugal. Ageas Cooljazz returnsto the Manuel Possolo Racetrack and Marechal Carmona Park, in an intimate, open-air setting, surrounded by trees and just a few steps from the Cascais Marina .
A larger venue and a new entrance next to the marina
The big news this year isn’t just the lineup, but also the venue. The organizers have decided to expand: in addition to more days, there’s also anew area in front of the Cascais Marina, with an extra entrance through the gate at Marechal Carmona Park, anew food court, and improvements to all access points.
The structure of the evenings is the one the audience is already familiar with. Doors open in the early evening, and there are four concerts per night: the night begins with the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM at the Marechal Carmona Park Amphitheater, followed by two shows on the Ageas Stage (an opening act and the day’s headliner), and the night concludes with the Late Nights, once again at the amphitheater.

And there’s plenty to choose from. Here is the complete lineup for this year’s festival:
- July 8—Gilberto Gilreturns to the festival, on a day that also marksMaria Luiza Jobim’s debut. At the Jazz Sessions: Marta Garrett; at the Late Nights: Petrolati.
- July 14(sold out)—David Byrnepresents his new album “Who Is The Sky?”, featuring the debut of Bia Maria. Bardino at the Jazz Sessions and João Gomes at the Late Nights.
- July 15—a day dedicated to urban culture, featuring the debuts ofLoyle CarnerandAna Lua Caiano. Marta Rodrigues will perform at the Jazz Sessions, and Mei Glez will close out the night.
- July 18(sold out)—Jamiroquai’s debut, with Moullinex presenting a DJ set focused on the album. Maria Carvalho & Bruno Ponte at the Jazz Sessions and Paulo Fernandes (M80) at the Late Nights.
- July 22—a night of comebacks, with jazz iconDiana Krallreturning to Cascais to share the stage withGisela Mabel. The Nuno Tavares Quartet will perform at the Jazz Sessions, and Sofia Morais will spin a DJ set during the Late Nights.
- July 25—debut performances byFranz Ferdinandand the Portuguese bandBombazine, on a night dedicated to bands. The Brothers (winners of the talent contest) at the Jazz Sessions and Mão na Anca at the Late Nights.
- July 29—a night of dancing with theScissor Sisters’debut and their “The Kiki Continues” tour. Saint Caboclo brings a DJ set to the Ageas Stage, Terra Terra performs at the Jazz Sessions, and Manel Moreira closes out the night with dance classics.
- July 31—the festival wraps up withChet Fakerand his new album “A Love for Strangers,” as well as the debut of Luís Severo. Miguel Marôco will perform at the Jazz Sessions, and a DJ set by Nicolle Velcro will close out the festival.
Free Sundays at Marechal Carmona Park
As is now tradition, the festival steps outside its enclosed grounds to embrace the city during Cascais Lazy Sundays. On Sundays in July—the 12th, 19th, and 26th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—there will be free performances on the lawn of Marechal Carmona Park. And here’s a lovely detail: this year’s Lazy Sundays lineup features an all-female cast, with Joana Barrios debuting on the new stage with a DJ set, the duo Pequenas Reivindicações de Liberdade on July 19, and the “Lei da Paridade” podcast on July 26.
A more accessible festival
The 2026 edition is also taking important steps toward accessibility. All entrances have been improved, and the concerts on July 8, 14, 25, and 29 will feature Portuguese Sign Language interpretation and vibration vests—resources designed for the deaf community. Companion tickets for people with a disability rating of 60% or higher are free.
In addition, the festival is once again partnering with Turismo de Cascais for the “Live Like a Local” campaign, which invites the public to discover the town’s best experiences—by day, at the table, and on the beach; by night, at Ageas Cooljazz.
