In 2024, Portugal will continue to host some of the biggest concerts e festivals of music, with posters loaded with the big names in pop and rock music, from super bands to well-known artists.
And some of these big names are already known, which you certainly won’t want to miss next year.

Dua Lipa
One of the latest confirmations, this time for NOS Alive, which will take place on July 11, 12 and 13 at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Oeiras, was British artist Dua Lipa.
After having visited our country, at the Altice Forum in Braga and the Altice Arena in Lisbon, in the summer of 2022, superstar Dua Lipa will make her debut at one of the country’s biggest summer festivals, having even been the first confirmation for the 16th edition of NOS Alive.
The artist of Kosovar and Albanian descent will brighten up the second day (July 12) of the NOS Stage, promising a unique show, already in the new “guise” of the new phase of her artistic career which, according to the artist, is the embodiment of that
feeling of four in the morning, when the night is about to end and you’re a bit sweaty, but you don’t want the party to end.”

The Smashing Pumpkins
Alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, led by the charismatic Billy Corgan, are returning to Algés for the third time, having played at the first edition of NOS Alive in 2007 and more recently in 2019.
They will close the first day of the festival, on July 11, , in what will be the North American group’s 13th time in Portugal.

Pearl Jam
The grunge band Pearl Jam is coming from Seattle to the Passeio Marítimo de Algés, to NOS Alive, for another live concert in our country.
The American band is expected to perform their latest original albums “Gigaton” and “Dark Matter”, which have never been played on Portuguese stages, as well as their favorite hits.
Pearl Jam will close the last day of the festival on July 13, in what will be the American group’s fourth time at this summer music festival.

Arcade Fire
The Canadians Arcade Fire are back in the capital this summer, this time for the music festival NOS Alive.
Bryan Adams
If there are bands and artists who need no introduction in Portugal, the famous Canadian musician Bryan Adams is one of them is back on stage in Portugal with two concerts scheduled, one in Gondomar and the other in Lisbon, on November 19 and 20, respectively.
Bryan Adams returns as part of the “So happy it hurts” tour. This year, the musician is expected to perform more than 40 concert s, most of them in Europe.
Queens of The Stone Age
Also passing through Portugal, more specifically in the north of the country, at the Vilar de Mouros Festival, is the band Queens of The Stone Age (QOTSA).
Will the more than 400 kilometers from Lisbon to Minho be worth it? We’re sure they are, because they’re currently one of the most powerful rock bands around.
Massive Attack
After two concerts at Campo Pequeno in the distant year of 2019, Massive Attack are back in town, this time to take part in one of the last summer festivals in the country, MEO Kalorama.
LCD Soundsystem
Also headlining MEO Kalorama on the second day of the festival (August 30) are LCD Soundsystem, who played Lisbon three times in 2022.
