The Hungarian airline Wizz Air is shaking up the air travel market with the launch of its latest offer: an annual subscription that allows unlimited flights, for just €50 a month.
Through the campaign “All You Can Fly”, we’re talking about a subscription of around 599 euros per year, which will give you the chance to travel and explore destinations in more than 50 countries, including cities as popular as London, or exotic places like the Maldives, which can be had for the “ridiculous” price of 9.90 per booking.
Details of Wizz Air’s offer
The annual subscription plan has an initial cost of 599 euros, which must be paid at the time of registration (at the time of writing, this plan was sold out, but the company warns that it will make more available).
Once subscribed, flight reservations can only be made three days in advance, which can make it difficult to plan longer trips, for example.
In addition, Wizz Air reserves the right to cancel your subscription if subscribers to this plan miss more than three flights a year.
Once the amount has been paid, the company does not allow the subscription to be canceled, nor is it possible to transfer this subscription to a friend or family member.
As for additional costs, this plan does not include checked baggage or hand luggage, only backpacks or small suitcases.
Advantages and disadvantages of this plan
The main advantage of this plan goes to frequent travelers, who in this way can save a lot of money, especially people who travel between several countries, either for professional or family reasons.
However, since bookings can only be made three days before the flight you want, this limited flexibility leaves a lot to be desired, as do the additional baggage costs.
