
Coffee is one of those drinks that are (almost) indispensable for getting through everyday life, acting as a kind of ‘fuel’ for many. The passion for this drink is such that it motivated the ranking “The 100 best coffees in the world”, recently revealed in Madrid (Spain). The Folks, a space in Lisbon, appears on the list.
Promoted by Neodrinks, the ranking was released as part of CoffeeFest, which took place in the Spanish capital. Over the course of a year, more than 4,000 coffee shops around the world were evaluated on the following criteria:
- Coffee quality
- Staff experience
- Customer service
- Innovation
- Environment and atmosphere
- Sustainable practices
- Quality of food and pastries
Top 10 of the best cafés in the world
In the list of <shortcode data-tag=”trackLink” 0=”link_url=”https://theworlds100bestcoffeeshops.com/top-100-coffee-shops/”<strong>”>100 best cafés in the world there are two Portuguese spaces: 7G Roaster (29th position), from Vila Nova de Gaia; and The Folks (74th position), which has six spots in Lisbon, as it has just announced the opening of another of the brand’s stores.

A look at The Folks
Now that we know the world’s top 10, let’s (re)discover The Folks. After all, it’s the only spot in Lisbon to appear in the ranking of the 100 best coffees in the world.
Created in 2022, the specialty coffee brand has five spaces in Lisbon. Or rather, six, since it has just announced the opening of a new establishment.
In addition to Santos, Rua dos Bacalhoeiros, Rua das Pedras Negras, Alfama and Chiado , Belém has now opened . The brand’s latest space continues to focus on specialty coffee and brunch.
