It was called Rock Station and it was the new performance hall of the city, opened earlier this year. However, six months later, the venue changed its name to Music Station, as a way of becoming an even more comprehensive stage for more musical genres than just rock.
Inaugurated with the aim of occupying the space of the former Rock Rendez Vous, the Rock Station (now the Music Station) still held concerts with various artists, from José Cid to various tribute bands.
We remember that this space is a breath of fresh air when it comes to giving “voice” and “chords” to the rockers who dedicate their lives to giving us the pleasure of listening to them, occupying a space that has long been missing in the city, especially for those who appreciated this style of music more.
Behind this project is João Santos, known as Pita, who says that the model will be very similar to the old house, which is already 35 years old.

More music in Parque das Nações
The concert hall has undergone some changes in decoration, especially with regard to the new logo, but the space for live music shows remains the same, with a capacity for 1,000 people
It is also in the same location, at Avenida Aquilino Ribeiro Machado 74, next to the Orient Station.
As was the case at Rock Station, Music Station will continue to hold Friday and Saturday nights to present music bands, from tributes to originals.
As far as we can tell from Music Station’s social networks, there are already two concerts scheduled for the coming months:
- Kamisa 10, on August 29th
- Angra, on October 15th
And after the concerts, DJs are also expected to keep playing music so that you can keep “shaking your helmet”.
