
Already on vacation? Looking to escape the heat? Or looking for a refreshing weekend destination? Don’t worry, an incredible swimming pool complex for all ages has recently opened near Lisbon : Salina Splash.
Located in Baixa da Banheira, in the municipality of Moita, about 30 minutes from the capital, this new summer spot is set in Zeca Afonso Park, one of the area’s favorite green spaces, next to the Tagus riverfront.
What can you find at Salina Splash?
With a strategic location that benefits from quick access for both locals and visitors, Salina Splash can be an alternative for those looking for affordable options in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
In a space designed for the whole family, you’ll find swimming pools for kids and adults, slides, lawn areas that invite you to picnic, a snack area, ice creams and cold drinks, among other attractions.
What days can you ‘dive in’?
According to the information available, the space is open on the following days and times:
- Monday to Friday: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Weekends and public holidays: from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Slides close at 18:15 and pools at 18:30.
It should be noted that weekday mornings , between 9.30 and 11.30, are for school groups, private social security institutions and others, by prior appointment.

How do I get to Salina Splash from Lisbon?
Under normal traffic conditions, the drive between Lisbon and Salina Splash, in Baixa da Banheira, is around 34 km, taking just over 30 minutes. To do this, simply take the 25 de Abril Bridge or Vasco da Gama Bridge and then head for the A2 or A33 in the direction of Moita/Baixa da Banheira.
However, there are several public transport options available, including a direct bus from Gare do Oriente (Carreira 4701), train (Linha do Sado) and ferry connections to Barreiro, followed by a local train or bus.
