The latest Tex-Mex food venue is at Contrabando in Saldanha, right in the heart of Lisbon, a place that has become the latest meeting point for those who love this cuisine, where high-quality meats are one of the main highlights… but not only!
The new space, located at Avenida Duque D’Ávila 169D, stands out for being a mixture of a terrace and a modern interior, where, once again, the bold decoration stands out, especially on one wall, where you’ll find several 3D golden skulls.
Lunches, dinners and even brunches
In the new Contrabando Saldanha you can find almost anything, from traditional lunches or group dinners, but also delicious brunches at weekends and evenings full of entertainment with margarita specials, live music and DJs.
Among the gastronomic novelties on the menu at the new Contrabando, highlights include the Octopus Taquito (€14.90), prepared with grilled octopus in a corn tortilla, guacamole and cheese; the Ceviche do Mar (€17.90), a refreshing combination of octopus and shrimp marinated in lime and coconut milk; and the Octopus Tostada (€16.90), which combines marinated octopus with fresh ingredients on a crispy tortilla with guacamole.
But the classics are also present, such as The Big Boss Burger (€19.90), a robust burger with two beef discs and BBQ ribs.
There are also vegetarian options, such as the Mushroom Quesadilla, Veggie Burger , Veggie Fajita or Salmon with Mango Tartar, available only until December 30.
But if you’re looking for something more sophisticated, the Sinaloa menu, for four people, includes selected cuts such as Wagyu picanha, South American Wntrecôte, matured Angus beef and Angus beef tenderloin, served with a choice of side dishes (€120), which take Tex-Mex cuisine to the next level.
Finally, don’t miss the irresistible Lime Pie (€7.90), a lemon meringue pie perfect for rounding off the meal.
