There is no Festas de Lisboa without the traditional popularfestivals , and certainly not without the fun and laid-back Arraial da Praça da Alegria, in the parish of Santo António, right next to the capital’s busiest avenue.
From June 2 to 21, the famous Praça da Alegria once again becomes the epicenter of fun and socializing. So, if you’re looking for the true neighborhood spirit, this is the place to be—a venue designed to bring together the best of the Santos Polulares tradition, where there will be no shortage of grilled sardines, plenty of drinks, and, of course, music to get you dancing.
Entertainment for all ages and live music
The event is designed to welcome both families at lunchtime and groups of friends at the end of the day. And if you can’t resist a good dance, there’s live music every Friday and Saturday.
On June 12 (the eve of the Santo António holiday), the party will go on a few hours longer, ending at 2 a.m.
