The district of Benfica is chosen by many “santo-festivaleiros” to celebrate the Popular Saints in Lisbon, at the Grande Arraial de Benfica, which this year will take place from June 19 to 22.
Music, food and lots of entertainment
As usual at any Santo António festival in Lisbon, at the Grande Arraial de Benfica you’ll be infected with an incredible festive atmosphere, where popular music and food and drink take center stage.
The streets of this part of the capital will be transformed into makeshift dance floors, where you can have fun until late at night, but it’s on the main stage that all the attention will be focused to see some of the best-known national artists.
From the poster, it’s easy to see that this Santos Populares festival in Benfica is one of the busiest in the city, not only because of the music on offer but also because of the party atmosphere you can experience here.
