Almost every day new restaurants open in Lisbon, all over the city. “Every day” is one way of putting it, but the truth is that the city is increasingly rich in new cuisines and gastronomies.
Because we’re very greedy and curious to find out what’s new in the city, we went in search of the most appetizing novelties, with mouth-watering delicacies. Are you served?

MARÉ
MARÉ is José Avillez’s new restaurant in Guincho, right on the sea and with a cuisine that smells and tastes of the unique freshness of Portuguese fish and seafood.

Here you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere, with decor inspired, of course, by the oceans, or this new space wouldn’t have two rooms and two terraces facing the sea.
There’s plenty of variety to try, and it’s not just fish, such as the Corvina marinated with red onion and avocado, the Carabineiros Rice or the “Royal” Seafood. You can also try meats such as sirloin steak or white veal steaks.

Capim Limão
Capim Limão is one of the newest restaurants in Lisbon, perfect for lovers of cocktails and, of course, a good snack.
Right in the city center, near Avenida da Liberdade, this is one of those places where you can gather all your friends around the table, with a drinks menu that includes the well-known classics such as Gins, Caipirinhas or Mojitos, but also signature mixes such as the Passion Prince, the Coconut Batida and the Passion Fruit Margarita.
To “kill your hunger”, at Capim Limão you can share various delicacies: Salmon Tartare with tapioca caviar, Burrata, Cheese Board and the delicious Pork Sandwich with Pineapple.

At Mames Wey
The Mexican food restaurant chain has only just “landed” in Portugal and already has two locations in Lisbon.
The first unit opened in Entrecampos and the most recent one in Campo de Ourique, where they are sure to delight lovers of this cuisine, including Tacos Pastor, Cochinita Pibil, Pulled Pork, Carnitas, Chilorio, Birria de res, among many other delicacies, which can be the subject of incredible promotions at any time.
These restaurants also stand out for their decoration with red neon lights, black walls, sombreros and chillies, which transport customers to a real taqueria in Mexico.

Menina Bonita Station
Estação Menina Bonita is one of the newest restaurants in Lisbon, served with state-of-the-art technology by robots as soon as you walk through the huge door.
As well as serving a delicious brunch, at the “huge” Estação Menina Bonita you can sample other delicacies, from both the sea and the countryside, through a rich menu that also includes traditional desserts.
But what really catches the eye is the team of robots that serve customers, as well as the musical and light show that brightens up this place near Parque das Nações.

Fâncy Bar & Lounge
According to Mariana Axel, Fãncy’s manager and artistic director,
Fãncy is a place for fun. To unwind, have a cocktail and a snack, in a low light environment
with pink lights.”
And that’s pretty much it for us, except to add that at Fãncy you’ll find a very special décor , in the eclectic and kitsch style of designers Chiara-Livia Gerer and Ângela Gerer; music with DJ Sets of Techno, Pop, House; drinks and food, which you can enjoy sharing with your group of friends.
