“The Phantom of the Opera” is one of those musicals that needs no introduction. After selling out at its premiere in Portugal, the joint international Broadway and West End production has already set dates for its return to the Portuguese public, between October 14 and 25, 2025.
The stage chosen to host this great production is Sagres Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon. There, you’ll have the chance to see the story of Christine, a young soprano at the Paris Opera, and the Phantom, a musical genius who hides in the theater’s catacombs.
Based on the novel by Gaston Leroux, the musical explores the Phantom’s obsession with the young woman. When Christine falls in love with Raoul, a childhood friend, the Phantom kidnaps the artist to force her to stay with him. A plot that explores themes such as darkness, isolation and compulsive love.
