It’s official, we’re counting down to saying goodbye to 2024 and welcoming the New Year… and if you’re thinking of celebrating on the streets of Lisbon, then we’ve got some good news for you. Well, there are services on the Lisbon Metro until later.
On its official website, Metropolitano de Lisboa informs that it will be running until 3am on the Blue and Green lines on New Year’s Eve (from December 31 to January 1).
According to the same source, these are the stations that will be open until dawn:
- Blue Line: Reboleira, Amadora Este, Pontinha, Colégio Militar/Luz, Jardim Zoológico, São Sebastião, Marquês de Pombal, Restauradores and Baixa Chiado
- Green Line: Telheiras, Campo Grande, Areeiro, Alameda, Anjos, Rossio, Baixa-Chiado and Cais do Sodré.
It should be noted that, due to the events scheduled for Terreiro do Paço, the Metro station in this area will close early on December 31st, at 5pm, and will only reopen at 6.30am on January 1st.
