The workers of the Metropolitano de Lisboa, and their respective unions, are once again calling a new partial strike, this time for December 3 and 10.
As with the last calls, and because their demands have not been taken into account, a stoppage is planned at all metro stations between 5am and 10am.
Due to this partial strike, the company expects transport services to be limited at these times, and they are only expected to resume from 10.30am.
Sara Glicó, from Fectrans, told Lusa ,
The solution presented by the board of directors is not a solution that is in the hands of the trade unions. It’s a legal solution regarding the payment of variables. We want a resolution of all variable matters from 2023 onwards. The board of directors assumed with the workers that it would pay the variables for 2023 and 2024 this year and that hasn’t happened.”
