
Mercadona, the Spanish supermarket chain, is continuing its active expansion strategy in Portugal. In fact, we had already reported in Lisboa Secreta on the opening of its first two supermarkets in the capital. However, it has now been revealed that they will open in November.
It should be remembered that these two stores will be located, more specifically, in Alta de Lisboa and Quinta do Lambert (Lumiar), and 180 new jobs are expected to be created. However, these are not the only openings planned.
In all, Mercadona is expected to open new stores in the following municipalities by the end of the year :

The Spanish chain is currently hiring for various positions in Lisbon (and beyond). For example, the company is looking for supermarket operators, maintenance assistants and warehouse operators for part-time or full-time contracts.
In a 40-hour week, pay starts at €14,963.90 and can reach €20,465.10, plus daily food allowance and additional compensation for Sundays and public holidays. But you can find out more here.
