Seixal’s Urban Park will once again host free concerts on May 30 and 31, with the 6th edition of the May Festival.
We received this information from Seixal Town Hall, which announced that this edition of the May Festival will once again be free to enter.
The Festival do Maio 2025 line-up
This year’s headliners are Portugal’s Xutos & Pontapés, Mão Morta and Linda Martini, who open the sixth edition of the Festival do Maio on Friday night, May 30.
The following day, May 31, it’s the turn of Capicua, Nigerian Seun Kutie & Egypt 80 and, straight from Brazil, Criolo.
This is the first time that the festival has dedicated an entire day to national rock, with Xutos coming to Seixal to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their album “Cerco” with a special show.
The second day of the festival brings other sounds to the south bank: Afrobeat, MPB, Reggae and Hip Hop, with the highlight being the latest work by the Portuguese Capicua “Um gelado antes do fim do mundo”.
The May Festival promises to be more than just a musical celebration. It is increasingly establishing itself as a stage for social awareness and mobilization, combining the activist tradition of national and international music.
