In a country with such a rich and secular history, it’s normal for medieval events to be a constant, a scenario that is repeated a little from north to south. This time, it’s Lisbon that is preparing to host one of the biggest initiatives of its kind in the capital: the Marvila Medieval Fair.
From September 20 to 22, against the backdrop of the Vale do Fundão forest, there are plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. The 7th edition of the event, promoted by the Marvila Parish Council, promises to take you on a real time travel.
At the Marvila Medieval Fair you can count on different attractions, such as horse rides, medieval parades, circus arts, sword fights, children’s games, falconry and more. It’s also worth noting that admission is free, which is another reason to enjoy a different evening with the family.
On the first day, September 20, the doors will open (from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.) with hundreds of children from the parish’s schools, with a wide range of games, dances and more. However, there’s plenty of entertainment for everyone throughout the three days.
