Meat spits on a laurel stick, poncha, bolo do caco, grilled limpets, beer and much more are all things you can try at the “Madeira in Lisbon” gastronomic festival, an initiative of the Avenidas Novas Parish Council, which will be held in a garden in Lisbon for the first time.

The event will take place between September 13 and 22, between 12 noon and 3 pm and 7 pm and 10:30 pm, in the Jardim do Arco do Cego, divided into two areas:
- a free access area where you can taste the famous Madeiran ponchas, pregos, lapas, bolo do caco and beer;
- and a paid area reserved for lunches and dinners, where for €25 you have access to a menu with bolo do caco, kebab, fried corn, French fries, salad, wine or beer and a poncha (you need to book by message or WhatsApp to 93 473 52 39).
