As a way of celebrating its 9th anniversary, from September 27 to October 5, MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology has just unveiled a very special program focusing on the links between art, architecture and technology, through new exhibitions and exclusive experiences.
With free access only on October 5 for all audiences , for one week MAAT opens its doors with a diverse and innovative cultural offer, promoting the intersection between different artistic disciplines.

Free program
On October 5, the program includes free admission and the opening of two important exhibitions, as well as other activities for the whole family:
- 10am to 7pm: Opening of the exhibition “Cerith Wyn Evans – Shapes in Space… through Light (in Time)”;
- 10am to 7pm: Opening of the exhibition “Fluxes – 7th Lisbon Architecture Triennale”;
- 10am to 1pm: Repair Café, where you can bring small household appliances to be repaired free of charge;
- 10h15 to 11h15: Thematic tour “How does this Museum work?”, with Thais Bressiani;
- 10.30 a.m. to 6.45 p .m .: 30-minute lightning tours:
- 11am: Lisbon Architecture Triennale
- 12pm: Pencils for gray days
- 13h: Cerith Wyn Evans
- 13h30: Electricity Factory
- 3pm: MAAT Garden and Permanent Art Installations
- 16h: Miriam Cahn – What looks at us
- 17h: Electricity Factory

- 18h: History of Energy Tour
- 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: “Accessible Spaces” themed architectural tour;
- 11am to 1pm: STEAM art and robotics workshop: “ArtBot”;
- 3pm to 4.30pm: Architecture tour: MAAT Gallery and MAAT Central;
- 4pm to 5pm: Science workshop: “The Magic of the Electromagnet”;
- 5 p.m. to 5.45 p.m.: Performance in the installation “Kiluanji Kia Henda: Coral dos Corpos sem Norte”.
Please note that all free activities require prior registration on the day, at the MAAT Central box office.

Other initiatives
In addition to the free activities, this year’s MAAT anniversary program also includes other interesting events, some of which we would like to highlight.
On September 27 there are:
- Yoga at the Museum;
- A visit to the Electricity Factory for the little ones;
- LISB-ON.
On September 28 you have:
- Poetryopen-mic;
- “Don’t Wake the Dragon” and “The Magic of the Electromagnet” workshops.
On September 29th:
- Secret Route, with a special summer edition.

October 1st:
- Meditative musical experience by Tainá.
October 2nd:
- Visit with a Notebook: Drawings from the Industrial Atmosphere, with Susana Anágua.
MAAT’s 9th anniversary promises to be a memorable celebration, full of new experiences and opportunities to explore contemporary art in Lisbon.
