As a way of celebrating its 137th anniversary, the Port of Lisbon is organizing the “Há Festa nas Docas” event, which between October 26 and November 1 will bring a week full of activities to the city’s waterfront.
Workers and the general public are invited to take part in a series of initiatives to celebrate this special date.
7 days of festivities
The celebrations begin on Saturday October 26 at the Santo Amaro Dock, with a program that promises to please all visitors:
- Market at Santo Amaro Docks at 11am
- In this little market by the river you can stroll around and shop for fashion, design, handicrafts, plants and jewelry accessories;
- Musical entertainment by Original Bandalheira at 3pm
- Musical performances by the band throughout the docks, with the first concert scheduled for 3pm;
- Parade of the Alcântara March at 4pm
- In 2024, the Alcântara March was the big winner of the Lisbon Popular Marches, so once again you’ll be able to see its vibrant parade at the Santo Amaro Docks.
These are just some of the activities on the first day. You can check out the rest in the program below.
