Lisbon is full of monuments to admire and “secret” viewpointswith privileged views to enjoy. But how about combining the best of both “worlds”? So, to celebrate International Day for Monuments and Sites on April 18, you’ll have the opportunity to visit not one, but three historic viewpoints in the Portuguese capital for free.
“3 terraces, 3 views”

Under the theme “3 terraces, 3 views,” the walking tour begins at the Águas Livres Aqueduct National Monument , built in the 18th century by order of King João V and associated with the macabre story of the famous serial killer Diogo Alves.
After that, the route passes by Amoreiras 360° Panoramic View, located 174 meters above sea level, allowing you to observe some of Lisbon’s main landmarks, from the Tagus River to São Jorge Castle.
Finally, the themed initiative takes you to the terrace of the Mãe d’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir, where you’ll be able to explore the capital’s evolution through the lens of its water systems and the history of water.
