Parking in Lisbon can be a real challenge, but there is at least one night-time solution in some areas of the city. A total of 335 parking spaces will be available in Lidl supermarket car parks, subject to membership.
According to a statement from Lisbon City Council (CML), quoted by Diário de Notícias, more than 300 night parking spaces will be distributed across six parking lots.
This measure is aimed at residents and is the result of a partnership between Lidl and EMEL – Empresa Municipal de Mobilidade e Estacionamentos de Lisboa. But do you want to know where and when you can use these parks?
According to the information, three of the six parks are now available, specifically Belenenses, Olivais Sul and Infante D. Henrique.
By the end of the month, the other three are also expected to be accessible to the public, namely Carnide, Xabregas and Laranjeiras.

How to join?
Residents can use these night parking spaces free of charge between the time the supermarkets close and 8.30am the following day.
However, the service is only available if you sign up for it. To do this, you can register at Lidl stores or on the EMEL website.
