Parque das Nações is home to a giant new chicken grill, which is huge and has indoor and outdoor space for around 580 people, as well as a privileged view of the River Tagus: the new Casa do Frango is now open.
Inside, you’ll find a modern atmosphere with plenty of natural light, with the capacity to welcome families and groups of friends in its 266 seats , plus the 278 seats on the terrace, which faces our beloved river and the Lisbon Oceanarium.

Charcoal chicken
You know how much we love a good chicken on the barbecue; we’ve eaten some of the most delicious ones in these houses in Lisbon, and we’re sure that this Casa do Frango, which will roast them in the most traditional way, over charcoal, should also be included in our guide.

There’s more to the menu than chicken
The new place to eat chicken in Lisbon is located next to Doca dos Olivais, right next to the MEO Arena, occupying a total area of 900m2; yes, it really is that big!
The space is very pleasant and full of Portuguese design, highlighting the handmade tiles from the Viúva do Lamego factory, as well as the ample furniture and tables in natural wood from the Olaio brand, capable of offering an atmosphere that invites socializing, and you can still admire everything that goes on in the open kitchen.
It’s from there that not only the typical barbecue chickens (half portion for €9.50; portion for €18) will come out, accompanied by fries and house sauce or with piri-piri, which is from an exclusive recipe.

But you have more meats to choose from, such as the Rib of Beef (32€) and noble cuts of Iberian Pork, such as Plumas (half a portion for 14€; portion for 19€); Lagartos (half a portion for 13€; portion for 18€) or Piano (half a portion for 13€; portion for 18€), as well as other options.
As for the fish (yes, they also grill fresh fish), the highlights are Bacalhau na Brasa (28 €), Polvo na Brasa (26 €), or Espetada de Lula e Camarão (19 €). If you prefer a vegetarian option, there’s the Brás de Legumes (12 €), colorful and full of flavor.

Snacks and desserts that stir up memories
You already know that we like to snack here and there, and we don’t deny ourselves a good sweet, so we found some flavors on Casa do Frango’s menu that we were very excited to try:
- Among the appetizers or starters, we’d like to highlight the Veal Croquettes (5€/2un.), Piglet Rissoles (6€/2un.), Codfish Pasties (6€/2un.), Veal Pica-Pau (16€), Octopus Salad (10€), or Prawns à Guilho (15€);
- Finally, when it comes to desserts, we’re crazy about the classics such as Natas do Céu (4€), Mousse de Chocolate (4€), Bolo de Bolacha (4€) or Leite-Creme (4€).
Casa do Frango is open every day from 12pm to midnight and also offers a takeaway service and, soon, home delivery.
