This year, CARRIS is once again opening the doors of its Christmas Tram to all schools and families, offering a Christmas journey through the most beautiful streets of the capital.
The Christmas Tram will not only transport the little ones, but also their families.
A journey with many surprises
The Christmas Tram is a Carris Social Responsibility initiative with more than 40 editions (it celebrates its 42nd in 2024), and this year it is once again teaming up with Café Joyeux to offer delicious cookies or aromatic coffee from the café.
In addition to the magical journey, the Christmas Tram will also offer other moments that children will love, from a Christmas story to a gift.
These journeys will take place next December, on the 2nd and 15th, and at various times: 9.20am, 10.30am, 11.40am, 2.15pm, 3.30pm and 4.40pm, the latter only on the day reserved for the general public.
It will run from Alcântara: Santo Amaro – Algés – Santo Amaro , with December 2 to 6 and 9 to 13 being the days reserved for schools. And on the weekend of December 14 and 15, CARRIS will open the initiative to the general public, so that families with children can also take the tour.
Tickets for schools are priced at €2.5, which will go entirely to the Café Joyeux project. On the days intended for the public and families, the price of each trip will be 10 euros per adult and 5 euros per young person (aged 3 to 18).
School groups and the general public should register for the tour on the website or by emailing mais.museu@carris.pt.
