“ÀMesa com…” is the latest gastronomic project by Chef Olivier, who owns more than 30 restaurants all over the world, from Lisbon to Bangkok.
The new gastronomic experience aims to celebrate the diversity of traditional and regional Portuguese cuisine , and will take place monthly in one of the Chef’s most recent ventures in Lisbon, the ÀCosta restaurant, in Doca da Marinha.
Good food from the north to the south of the country
The space on the banks of the Tagus, which is already a landmark in the Portuguese capital, will now welcome several other kitchens to its table, bringing to Lisbon some of the best delicacies you can eat from one side of Portugal to the other.
From the north and south of the country, and for three days a month, you’ll be able to enjoy an exclusive tasting menu that promises a real journey through the regional flavors of Portugal.
The “ÀMesa com…” project will thus promote signature cuisine, while at the same time further enhancing national culinary traditions. For Chef Olivier,
We want to create a space where customers can experience the best of Portuguese gastronomy without having to travel to the different regions of the country. With ‘ÀMesa com…’, we give the stage to chefs and concepts of excellence from the north to the south of the country and, at the same time, provide unrepeatable gastronomic experiences with the authenticity of regional flavors.”
First trip: Adega Vila Lisa
The premiere of “ÀMesa com…” will take place on February 17, 18 and 19 and its first guest will be the historic Adega Vila Lisa, which will travel directly from the Algarve, from Portimão, to bring the authenticity of its cuisine to the capital, with dishes full of genuine flavors.
The Mexilhoeira Grande restaurant, founded in the 1980s and known for not having a fixed menu, will be preparing a series of dishes that reflect the essence of Algarve flavors and aromas:
- Starters: Tomatada, Potata de Alhada, Requeijão and Morcela and Biqueirão Anchovado;
- Main courses: Clam chowder, oven-roasted octopus with potatoes and chickpea broth with oxtail;
- Desserts: Arrepiados de Amêndoa and Queijo de Figo e Amêndoa, accompanied by Café de Saco and Medronho.
The tasting menu costs €50 per person (not including drinks).
