There are activities for all tastes; and this seems to apply to hiking too. In other words, there are those who enjoy walking in the open air in the middle of the mountains and those who prefer to walk the streets of Lisbon in their pajamas.
On November 23rd (Saturday), starting at 9pm, you can take part in a themed initiative aimed at children (aged six and over) and adults alike. This event is associated with National Pajama Day, which is celebrated every year on November 20th.
What is National Pyjama Day?
It’s a special date created to draw attention to the problem of the most disadvantaged children, with the aim of raising awareness of the growth of foster families in Portugal.
So, despite its apparently ‘fun’ content, this date was created for educational and solidarity purposes, and also coincides with the day of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
What to expect from the walk?
Returning to the initiative itself, it is organized by the company Lynx Travel, which usually carries out other walks, for example in the Serra de Sintra.
In this particular event, the guided tour starts next to the Rossio statue, on a total route of 5 km, which is expected to take around 2h30. For this purpose, the organization recommends wearing comfortable shoes, water, food and, of course, a camera.
Address: Rossio Square (meeting point by the statue)
Time: November 20, with the assembly time at 21:00 and departure at 21:30
Tickets: €10 for adults; €5 for children aged 6 to 12
Registration: only valid until November 22 and can be done by email (lynxtravel11@gmail.com)
