From September 11 to 14, Lisbon will be the stage for a true journey into Brazilian culture and gastronomy (and beyond) with the arrival of Brasil Origem Week (BOW), an event that will transform the Pátio da Galé, in Praça do Comércio, into a great center of experiences.
With free admission, the Brasil Origem Week program will mix flavors, culture and lots of knowledge, with the mission of reinforcing Lisbon as a meeting place between two historically linked nations, increasingly linked by innovation and entrepreneurship.
It’s through the mouth that you conquer
The gastronomic program is one of the highlights, with leading names in Brazilian cuisine presenting their traditional recipes and innovating in showcooking sessions open to the public:
- Ricardo Mourão, with Shrimp and Octopus Bobó accompanied by Cassava Crunch
- Anderson Sousa, with Duck in Tucupi
- Lorrayne Barros, with Plantain Gnocchi and Shrimp Moqueca
Carol Brito, Mónica Morais, Marcos Monteiro, Ivanna Limonge, Emanuel Sávio, Virgínia Soares, Carolina Sales, Cidália França, Márcio Ricci, Natacha Fink and Larissa Abbud will also be present at this event, which promises to be very tasty through the various creative interpretations of Brazilian cuisine.
At the same time, there will also be the Origem Brasil Product Fair, which will promote tastings and present exclusive ingredients and labels, as well as acting as a networking space for gastronomy professionals and importers.

Art and cultural exchange
From the table to culture, BOW’s program includes exhibitions such as “Retratos Sonoros” (Sound Portraits) by Daryan Dornelles and “Olhares da Amazónia” (Looks of the Amazon) by Edina Costa, who will be giving a live painting presentation during the event.
The aim is to offer the public an artistic experience that goes beyond contemplation, promoting direct interaction with the artists.

Strategic forums and debates
Brasil Origem Week also aims to be the stage for relevant discussions on the future of Brazil-Portugal relations and the new innovation and sustainability movements.
Among the scheduled meetings are:
- Tourism Forum (September 11): innovation and sustainability in destination promotion;
- Lisbon Dialogues (September 12): bilateral relations, entrepreneurship, sustainable tourism and representation of Brazilians in Portugal;
