From October 2 to 5 (Thursday to Sunday), the Algés Market will host the 4th edition of Beerfest, a four-day festival that will be a must for all beer lovers, as well as good music and plenty of food for all tastes.
The occasion falls at the same time as the famous Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, so if you haven’t been to the “original” yet, Beerfest promises to bring all the atmosphere of this huge beer festival to Lisbon, in all due proportions, of course.
Free entry and new features on the program
This year’s Beerfest will bring some new features to Algés, with free entry for everyone.
This “Portuguese Oktoberfest” usually brings thousands of people to this friendly market, which once again has the traditional tables, typical decorations and a program that mixes flavors, tradition and lots of entertainment, in an atmosphere designed for all ages.
Get ready to chug down giant mugs of beer, while tasting some of the most typical Bavarian dishes, such as Ham with Sauerkraut and Roast Potatoes, German Sausage with Potato Salad or the creamy Käsespätzle, as well as regional sweets such as Lebkuchen, the classic heart-shaped cookies, and the Love Apple.
And yes, there will also be vegetarian options.
This year’s Beerfest will also be full of entertainment, especially musical entertainment, with performances by the energetic Uzápressão, a tribute to Xutos & Pontapés by the band GM and the presence of various DJs, while you can also have fun with the typical Oktoberfest games, such as the popular “Aguenta a Caneca” or the collective choreography “Funky Chicken Dance”.

With a program designed for families, groups of friends and beer lovers, the 4th Beerfest at the Algés Market will have free admission during the four days of the event, but if you want you can book your table, a service that is paid for , but includes food, drink and various types of seating.
