The neighborhoods of Graça and São Vicente de Fora are once again hosting the cultural event Colina das Artes em Lisboa, with free admission and many new features, including concerts, cinema, exhibitions and theater for the whole family.
This is one of the most recent arts events in Lisbon, dedicated to all Lisboners and visitors, and this year it takes place between September 6 and 14.
This year, as a way of celebrating the 50th anniversary of April 25, Colina das Artes has invited 20 illustrators, who will create a work on the theme of Freedom, in an exhibition circuit that will embellish the local shops throughout the days of the event.
Exhibitions, music and lots of culture
At the Santa Clara Market, between September 7 and 14, you can visit the exhibition “Subway Life”, by the artist António Jorge Gonçalves, who has spent more than 25 years drawing people sitting in carriages of several meters around the world, especially the one in Lisbon.
Among the musical highlights for this year, you will be able to see and hear:
- Sara Correia at the Lisbon Patriarchate (September 11)
- Sérgio Godinho & Filipe Raposo in the Cloisters of the Convento da Graça (September 13)
- Gisela João in the Cloisters of the Convent of Graça, (September 14)
Other activities at Colina das Artes
In addition to the musical shows, exhibitions and various gatherings, there are comedy and cinema attractions at venues throughout Graça, including stand-up comedy sessions with comedians from the São Vicente Comedy Club, as well as an inflatable cinema session for the little ones.
Also thinking about what happened in the first edition, in the evening there will be a party, in a fun moment that will take place in the incredible Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte. In previous years it was like this:
