“Night Market” will be the name of the innovative concept that, every last Saturday of the month, starting on August 31, between 6pm and midnight, will pay homage to the historic Armazéns Abel Pereira da Fonseca, where 8 Marvila is located.
Once known as the “Cathedral of Wine”, these warehouses will now offer all wine lovers the chance to taste more than 60 wine references, from sparkling wines and rosés to whites and reds.
And the great news is that you can taste them directly in the old wine vats, in a tasting experience at a friendly price of €4 per glass, and the wines between €3 and €9, depending on your choice.
What is the “Night Market”?
It’s not just because it’s at night that this monthly event in the city is innovative. One of the great novelties is that each store at 8 Marvila will be able to invite external partners, thus creating more reasons to visit this night market on the last Saturday of every month.
We’re talking, for example, about the well-known plant store, Planta Livre, teaming up with a ceramics partner, greatly increasing the offer you’ll find on these Saturday nights.
In addition, you’ll still be able to enjoy even more food (O Mato, Sugoi and Dim Fuk Sum, as well as the food trucks 150 grams and Oficina, will continue to be present), as well as more musical and cultural offeringswith DJ Sessions (DJs Kaspar and Señor Pelota) or artistic painting performances.
