Está confirmado que Lisboa vai voltar a ser a cidade anfitriã da próxima edição do Festival Tribeca na Europa, em anúncio feito durante o segundo dia do festival, que aconteceu no passado fim de semana no Beato Innovation District.
Lembramos que nunca das suas intervenções, Robert De Niro, que é um dos mentores deste projeto, destacou a capital portuguesa como sendo o local ideal para a realização deste evento, muito graças à sua cultura vibrante.
Outro dos motivos para os fundadores continuarem a apostar em Lisboa para a realização da segunda edição fora de portas (de Nova Iorque), como destacou a produtora e cofundadora do Festival Tribeca, Jane Rosenthal, é que a nossa cidade pode ser a porta de entrada na busca de novos talentos.
O presidente da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Carlos Moedas, deu destaque à importância desta continuidade,
Lisboa é o centro do mundo neste festival… Pela primeira vez, ele sai dos Estados Unidos e escolhe um sítio no mundo para vir, que é Lisboa.”
O edil afirmou ainda que a Câmara de Lisboa vai continuar a apoiar o evento, que levou até ao Beato, cinema, música e inovação, de onde se destacaram as várias Talks, os concertos ao vivo grátis e, claro, os filmes.
