Hoje entra em circulação a 14ª Carreira do Bairro, um autocarro que vai fazer a ligação entre o bairro das Galinheiras e a Quinta das Lavadeiras.
Todos os utentes das Carris passam, a partir de hoje, a usufruir de um novo autocarro que liga duas zonas a oeste da cidade de Lisboa, mais precisamente o bairro das Galinheiras à Quinta das Lavadeiras, via Lumiar.
Com o número 41B, este autocarro passa a ser a 14ª Carreira do Bairro, que terá início no Largo das Galinheiras e segue pela Estrada Militar, R. João Amaral, R. Raul Rego, R. Rogério de Moura, R. Tito de Morais, Av. Nuno Krus Abecassis, R. Eduardo Covas, Av. Carlos Paredes, R. José Cardoso Pires, R. Luís Piçarra, R. Helena Vaz da Silva, Av. David Mourão Ferreira, R. Maria Albertina, Av. David Mourão Ferreira, Estrada da Torre, R. Alexandre Ferreira, Estrada do Desvio, Calçada de Carriche, R. do Lumiar e R. Quinta das Lavadeiras, onde faz terminal.

A nova carreira de bairro cruza com as linhas da Carris 703, 717, 736 e 796 e vai funcionar todos os dias das 7 às 21 horas, com intervalo médio de 30 minutos nos dias úteis e de 45 minutos aos fins de semana e feriados.
Iniciado em 2017, o serviço de Carreiras de Bairro tem como objetivo reforçar a mobilidade local, criando complementaridade junto da restante rede de carreiras já existente gerando uma maior proximidade às infraestruturas mais importantes dos bairros como as escolas, os centros de saúde, os mercados e outros meios de transporte público.
